Hi There,

I just wanted to say hello to all our russian fans ! We really love all of you out there and support this community the best we can. Our russian fans have left us with the best memories during our stay in moscow in 2003 and we try to give this back to you as good as possible.

We've been brainstorming over the text of 'Blutrot' for 5 days but still have troubles... Could you please make some things clear to us?..
Wenn der Schmerz den Schmerz betдubt
Ist alles was noch ьbrig bleibt
Ein kurzer Schnitt - ein kurzes Glьck
Wie roter Samt - und kein Zurьck
What does 'Ist alles was noch ьbrig bleibt' refer to?.. Is it clear that it's a predicate, but what's the subject then? Is it Wenn der Schmerz den Schmerz betдubt or Ein kurzer Schnitt?
The last strophe is also a blind spot.
Und wenn die stolzen Klingen
Noch so schцne Lieder singen
Dich locken und verfьhren
Lass sie Dich nie mehr berьhren
Do I understand right that the idea of the text is 'When pain makes you suffer and you feel nothing else, open your heart to me and tell me what's wrong with you'?.. Why then other 'Klingen' here? Does it mean 'Don't open your heart too frequent even if it seems to give you deliverance and is therefore tempting'? Or 'Don't open your heart to the strangers, you can trust me but be careful when speaking to other people'?

Well, thank you though this is not exactly what I wanted:) And please make clear another moment: is the 'Klinge' a blade of a sword or a blade of a razor?

"Klinge" is the actual part of the sword, knife or similar item that cuts. But in german can be used for any form of instrument used for cutting, best translated with "blade".

I'm asking because I'm translating the text into Russian, not into English. And Russian language is far more specific than English or German.

Thomas, thanks a lot for the translation ;) Again i realized that auto-translators must die It gave me a totally different variant of translation. In any case - i like lyrics of blutrot, and the main idea is.. well it is just truth! =)
